We aim to immerse educators in our industry for three days so they can interest their students in pursuing a nuclear related career. For each participant we bring into the Institute the information is spread to their colleagues, hundreds of students, and the larger community.

The Institute includes tours of the Vogtle nuclear energy facility and the Savannah River Site including radioactive waste management facilities and the broad range of research and development activities conducted by the Savannah River National Laboratory. It also includes a series of workshop sessions on atomic and nuclear fundamentals, power generation fundamentals, nuclear technology applications, risk (real vs. perceived), and nuclear workforce opportunities with hands-on activities to illustrate important technical concepts and scientific principles.

The Registration Fee is only $50.00 and includes: lodging (if needed) and meals, free educational resources and teacher guides for classroom presentations. Each participant receives two $25 gift cards,to help cover travel expenses, and all Institute related travel (to SRS, Vogtle etc.) is provided.
